Balconies, terraces, and a garden framed by the Carpathians
The outdoors at Charming Chalet are not a backdrop — they are the main event. Ten balconies and two generous terraces open out from the chalet like outstretched arms, each one offering a slightly different frame of the same magnificent panorama: the Ciucas Mountains to the east, the Postavaru Peak and Poiana Brasov to the west, and the deep green Timis Valley stretching between them.
The garden occupies the heart of the 1,368 square-meter plot, a calm green space shaded by mature trees and bordered by the kind of low hedgerows that belong to another era. It is a garden for reading, for barefoot mornings, for children who still believe that the best adventures begin at the garden gate.
From the upper balconies, the view stretches far enough to make the world feel both vast and intimate. On clear mornings the mountain ridgeline stands sharp against the sky. On misty ones, the peaks appear and dissolve like thoughts you almost caught. Either way, the air is crisp, scented with pine and woodsmoke, and it does something to you that no spa treatment can replicate.
The terraces are built for gathering — long meals that begin in afternoon light and end under stars, conversations that wander as freely as the evening breeze. Nadejde placed them with care, oriented to catch the best light and shelter from the wind, as though he had already imagined the life that would unfold on them decades later.
This is a property where the boundary between inside and outside is deliberately soft, where every room leads you back to the mountains.
